Founding Member of The Fort Athletic Club Scott Marchakitus

With a background in the financial services sector, Scott Marchakitus serves as CEO of The Fort Athletic Club, located in Oceanport, New Jersey. As a founding partner, he uses his appreciation for athleticism and technology to shape the overall vision for the athletic club. Growing up in Prince Georges County, Maryland, Scott Marchakitus competed in football at DeMatha Catholic High School and played rugby while earning a bachelor’s degree in business from Towson University.

Mr. Marchakitus subsequently received his master’s degree in finance from the University of Baltimore. He then went on to work as a telecom, media, and technology analyst on Wall Street for 25 years while living in New Jersey since 2005.

Envisioning The Fort as a “YMCA meets Four Seasons,” Scott Marchakitus is dedicated to providing a modern facility where people can increase mental and physical fitness. To this end, he is updating the building, which formerly housed the Fitness Center at Fort Monmouth, to include four branded studios, a full-size soccer field, a massive weight room featuring Matrix equipment, and a technology-driven Biocircuit room by TechnoGym. Mr. Marchakitus will also initiate year-round activities for youth, such as a kid’s club and Skyhawks and SuperTots sports programs, as well as charitable programming to benefit the local community.
